Reiersons welcome twin sons Aug. 7

Daniel and Breanna Reierson of Postville are happy to announce the arrival of their twin sons, Brayden Daniel and Merrick Deakin Reierson, on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013.

Born at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis., Brayden weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz. and was 18½ inches in length; Merrick weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz. and measured 17½ inches.

The twins are the couple’s first children.

Grandparents are Dean and Connie Reierson of Clermont, Kim Lenth of Luana, and Karen Lenth of Elgin.

Great-grandparents are Joe and Helen Reierson of Elgin, Duane Walter of McGregor and the late Vivian Walter, Lorenz Lenth of Monona and the late Emmy Lenth, and Leonard and Jean Schutte of Castalia.

Lindsay Klinkefus and Alex Kenyon of Coralville exchanged wedding vows in a 5 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 10. Marsha Acord and Paul Shultz officiated at the ceremony, which took place at the Coralville Marriott in Coralville.

Parents of the couple are Mark and Marci Klinkefus of West Union and Tim and Barb Kenyon of Creston.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin fit-and-flare bridal gown with a removable train. The strapless sweetheart neckline was adorned with crystal beading. The fitted upper part of the gown featured asymmetrical ruching that led to three-dimensional floral details highlighting the detachable, ruffled, lower skirt. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of vanda orchids, mini green hydrangeas, orange spray roses, and purple stock flowers.

Heather Bentley and Chad Ries of Manchester wish to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Barry and Peggy Bentley of Fayette and Clyde and Barb Ries of Delaware, Iowa.

After her 2006 graduation from North Fayette High School, Heather earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids in 2010. She is employed as a registered nurse at Regional Medical Center of Manchester.

Chad graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 2005 and earned his degree in dairy science from Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar in 2007. He is employed by Engelken Dairy Farm in Earlville.

A 2 p.m. wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 2, in Delhi.

Aidan was born at Covenant Hospital in Waterloo. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 inches long at birth.

He joins big sister Abby, 8, at home. 

Grandparents are Dan and Inez Schmitt of West Union, Richard Miller and Sherry Mattke of Fredericksburg, and the late Judy Miller.

Amanda Gibson of West Union and Jason Schneider of Elgin were married Aug. 17 in Gunder.

Amanda is the daughter of Brian and Linda Gibson of rural Elgin. Jason is the son of Gary and Lisa Schneider, also of rural Elgin.

Nicole Gibson served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Gibson, Paige Gibson, Tara Elmer, Sydney Alber, and Ali Bostrom. The junior bridesmaid was Gina Gibson.

Taryn Moser was the flower girl.

The groom’s best man was Josh Schneider. Groomsmen were Blake Baker, Karson Peterson, Jared Tilleraas, Tony Bracy, and Jeremy Drees. Chase Schneider was the junior groomsman.

The ring bearer was Tate Germann.

Jaci Grafenberg and Jack Dudley of Kenosha, Wis., were united in marriage in a 2 p.m. ceremony on July 13 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Madison, Wis.

Parents of the couple are John and Jan Grafenberg of West Union and John and Brenda Dudley of Madison, Wis.

Jaci wore a strapless gown of ivory satin featuring a sweetheart neckline, beaded empire waistline with ruching, and a train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas and stephanotis.

The maid of honor was Jessie Grafenberg, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Natalie Hunter, Kate Mears, and Karla Block, friends of the bride.

They wore strapless, black, floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of white roses and hydrangeas.

Laura Knockel was Jaci’s personal attendant.

Cale was born at 6:54 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. He weighed 11.1 lbs. and was 21¼ inches long.

Proud grandparents are Rick and Lois Pickar of Lawler and first-time grandparents Don and Becky Kelly of Hawkeye.

Also welcoming Cale was great-grandmother Rosalie Pickar of New Hampton.
